A New Home Court for Riverdale Georgia

Hoopbus Unveils the new Princeton Learning Academy Court in Riverdale, Georgia.

Hoopbus, in partnership with Metro by T-Mobile, has completed its first court in Georgia: the Princeton Learning Academy Court in Riverdale.

This project is about much more than fresh paint and new hardware. For a community that was in need of a dedicated place to play, the court is a long-overdue gathering spot. Investing in spaces where young people can play, connect, and grow is what community impact is all about.

On October 24th, Hoopbus marked the occasion with a ribbon cutting ceremony, part of our nationwide tour with Metro by T-Mobile. Neighbors and community members came together to welcome the court and celebrate the next chapter for this space.

The celebration got an extra boost from a special guest: comedian and creator Druski stopped by to join the festivities. His energy helped turn the ribbon cutting into a true community event, and the kids in attendance had a day they won't forget.

“This was one of the most special Hoopbus projects I’ve ever been part of, and the best part is what we left behind: a brand-new, 24/7 community basketball court for the kids and families of Riverdale, alongside a 75-foot mural honoring Druski and his message, ‘Just a Kid Who Coulda Been.’

We wanted to celebrate Atlanta the right way, bringing out six classic cars (one that got dunked over), world-class dunkers, the local high school marching band, Callamar, AEBL Hoops, youth basketball, free food, music, and nothing but love from start to finish.

Druski was incredibly down to earth, taking time to genuinely connect with the kids and community, which made the day even more meaningful. I’m grateful to Metro by T-Mobile and everyone who came together to make this possible. I think we made ATL proud on this one.”

Riverdale is the second-to-last stop on a tour dedicated to building places where communities can thrive. Stay tuned as Hoopbus and Metro by T-Mobile bring more fun to neighborhoods across the country.
